Ο Ralph Angus McQuarrie (13 Ιουνίου, 1929 – 3 Μαρτίου, 2012) ήταν ένας “καλλιτεχνικός σχεδιαστής” (conceptual designer) και εικονογράφος που σχεδίασε την γμήσια τριλογία του Star Wars, την παλιά τηλεοπτική σειρά του Battlestar Galactica, το E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial και Cocoon, για το οποίο κέρδισε ένα Όσκαρ.

 

 

Στην δική του φαντασία οφείλουμε τις φιγούρες των C3-P0, R2-D2, Darth Vader, Chewbacca και τις στολές των αυτοκρατορικών στρατιωτών.
