[Orpheus]

That they shoud leave the world forever,

That it should bear all meaning,

all importance that no person, no soul can hold,

That all should be so ghostly when compared to ghosts themselves...

I have nothing to do with these things

 

That I should ever be in love with the truest shadow,

That I should grasp my love and forget it,

hide it behind all the walls I can find,

That all my lovw should suffice for naught but doubt...

None of my mind could ever fathom any of this

 

That they should have no fear of human things,

That they should feel indestructible,

and hide it only to live among us,

about me, about us,

I have no soul to contain this truth

Αν και με πονάει. Αλλά κι αν με πονάει, τι; Απλά, κάτι...

Δεν πολυκατάλαβα τι ακριβώς θέλεις να πείς ορφέα, αλλά μου φάνηκε βαθύ και γραμμένο απο την καρδιά σου...

Μου άρεσε η βασική ιδέα (αν καταλάβα καλά δεν είμαι σίγουρη) πως η αλήθεια είναι τόσο μεγάλη, τόσο ξεχωριστή, που δεν μπορεί να την κράτησει μια θνητή καρδιά, μια ανθρώπινη ψυχή.

Το βρίσκω τρυφερό και όμορφη σκέψη εκ μέρους σου ξέρεις, αν και δεν ξέρω και θα θέλα να μάθω ποιοι είναι αυτοί οι they...

Βασικά, λίγο μεγαλύτερη: (στα αγγλικά το they είναι τόσο αόριστο όσο το on στα γαλλικά. όχι, λιγότερο. περισσότερο. τέλος πάντων, χρησιμοποιείται και ως εξής: someone came in; they didn't knock. πολύ αόριστο [edit: ). ]

Είναι ακριβώς το ίδιο αόριστο με το on. Απλώς οι Γάλλοι έχουν πιο πολύπλοκη γλώσσα και αποφάσισαν να υπάρχει ιδιαίτερο άρθρο για να ασχοληθεί με αυτήν την... γενικότητα τέλος πάντων.
