month Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 04/01/2007 04:00 In the stillness of the night, In the darkness of a heart, Like a frightening charm I summon you. A visage of wisdom old Hunting that which is no more, A candle burning brightly· Melting fast. Like this you waste your breath, Your ignorant, haunting thread Has taken hold of me· In shadows I rest my head upon your lap, To soothe the pain that has begun In stillness nightly dark· I am tired. Yet you see none of the pain, Smiling your jolly, frolic way, And to this an end there’s not· I hate you. To be trapped and to be seen, To be hurt, and yelled, and screamed! The end that feels so bittersweet Is coming. Like a knife that cuts the air, Like a gun that wounds the fair, The visage that has been you Is dying. And so at last I walk again In darkness, one more turn· Trusting in the feeling, I love you. Quote
