Βρήκα τα κείμενα και σε πιστότερη μετάφραση, χωρίς απόδοση:

 

“If I had suspected that it would be so—” She was gasping for breath.

“I leave you, to go the road we all must go.

The road I would choose, if only I could, is the other.”

 

“At the sound of the wind, bringing dews to Miyagi plain,

I think of the tender hagi upon the moor.”

 

“The autumn night is too short to contain my tears

Though songs of bell cricket weary, fall into silence.”

 

“Sad are the insect songs among the reeds.

More sadly yet falls the dew from above the clouds."

 

Για κάποιο λόγο έκανα το λάθος κι έβαλα για 2η φορά το πρώτο που είχα παραθέσει την προηγούμενη φορά· το κείμενο που ήθελα να μεταφέρω είναι το κάτωθι (μαζί με την άλλη εκδοχή του):

 

"Since now no fostering love is found,

And the Hagi tree is dead and sere,

The motherless deer lies on the ground,

Helpless and weak, no shelter near."

 

“The tree that gave them shelter has withered and died.

One fears for the plight of the hagi shoots beneath.”
